the Essicks' transition update ...

Moving back to America and our Deutschland departure.

To friends near and far...

I believe it is important to end things well. Before we left Germany, we had one last family trip together. We choose to go to France and finally have a day at Paris Disney. (Of course, I had to get to the flea market one last time but missed out on hanging near Sacre Coeur in Montmartre - that just leaves an excuse to return that is for sure!) Anyways, we stayed at the Marriott's Village d'lle-

de-France. The place was so great that I wished the two story townhouse could be picked up and brought to Connecticut for our temporary housing there! Steven said: “The party is over.” and I said: “It just begins.” Sure this phase of life was coming to an abrupt end but we must look forward to all that awaits us this side of heaven and of course all of eternity yet to come.

It is about time...

I started blogging when I first moved to Germany in 2005 - that was over 4 years ago. My intent was to publish weekly, monthly, after each trip to each new place, etc but being the perfectionist - I was taking too much time in reviewing, editing and not just getting it done so I moved to email updates. Now that I am back in the States and want to relive our great adventure, I am going to begin anew. I have long since forgotten what the blog was called and can not access it no longer so appropriately this is called 30 + (plus) countries and counting... Although we will now perhaps begin state collecting more - here's to memories made and in the making as we journey through life together - one happy, blessed family!
